Aside from the curvilinear balconies, the interior layouts bear a lot of similarities to those of many recent launches. Such as those at Kopar @ Newton, or the Antares condo, or Forett @ Bukit Timah; perhaps because of the common rulings and guidelines that guide their design.

Queens Peak has a couple of interesting design features:

  • The way the various unit types are arranged, is different. Instead of each stack having the same unit type vertically from top to bottom, Queens Peak is layered more horizontally. Levels 1 to 6 are the carpark levels. Level 7 is a Sky Terrace.

    So residential units only start from the 8th floor. This makes a lot of sense, as it raises them a fair bit above the MRT train track, which minimises the noise from the track.

  • The 1, 1 + study, and 2 bedroom units are located from levels 8 to 26 only. This again makes sense, as smaller units usually tend to be more expensive on a PSF (per sq ft) basis. By keeping them on the lower floors, it is possible to avoid the kind of astronomical prices seen at the high floors of nearby projects.

  • The bigger units, from the 3 bedders upwards, start from level 28 upwards. This gives them the better views as well. Level 27 is another Sky Terrace, which allows even residents on lower floors to enjoy city skyline views.

  • The penthouses are configured in such a way, that they are almost like dual key units: in 2 parts linked by a pool and terrace, with each side being self-contained. Each has its own kitchen or kitchenette, bedrooms & bathrooms. Perfect for multi-generation family living.
